Fairy Celebration

Hello stampers!

We had a very soggy Saturday here in Southwestern PA.  More than 3 inches of rain fell!  Yikes!  We have a volunteer fire department here and they have an annual "Riverfest" celebration as a fundraiser.  Yep, you guess it - Riverfest was this weekend as well!  The resilient fire department and flexible members of the community made it all work - and a great time was had by all!

In between Christmas cards last week, I worked on some non holiday projects as well.  Today's card is one of those  projects.  I love the Fairy Celebration set in the annual catalog, so I took the opportunity to get out my aqua painters to color the main image for this card.  Then, I stamped and water-colored another of the big flower and snipped it out.  It is attached with a Stampin' Dimensional.  I added Wink of Stella accents to the flowers, the fairy wings, and the fairy's hair.

Christmas in July - Tags

Hello stampers!

I got my first glimpse at a few of the products coming in this year's holiday catalog.  You are going to love them!!!  I can't wait until I get some of the products in my hands next week and can start sharing with you!  One of the biggest perks of being a Stampin' Up! I have a another Christmas in July project for you today.  But first, an update.  Last night I kept looking at the horizontal and vertical cards I posted.  They didn't look right.  Something from my design was off.  But what was it?  Finally it hit me!  I forgot to add the bows!   Doh!  So, here is a new picture of those same cards - with the bow.  Much better, I think.  Do you agree?

And now today's project.  I've been working on some Christmas tags for a future class.  Typically I don't share class projects here, but these are prototypes, and after what I've seen from the new catalog, I'm pretty sure they will change.  So, here they are.
