Rooted In Nature Card

Rooted In Nature and the companion Nature's Roots dies are so versatile for creating almost any kind of card, while being suitable for both a girl or a guy.  I used that set to make today's card.

To start, I stamped the new Birch background stamp on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock using Crumb Cake ink.  I stamped the main image in Calypso Coral, and then stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso.  The leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and cut out with the dis from Nature's Roots.  Before attaching the leaves, I sponged some Crumb Cake ink around the edges.  I added the leaves, and then using an Aqua Painter, I splattered some Crumb Cake ink on the card front. 

In doing so, I "oopsed" and created a big splotch of Crumb Cake ink on the card front.  Rather than start over, I decided to stamp the little leaves and branches in Calyspo Coral on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and cut them out with the matching die.  I added a glue dot and added them at the top to cover my mistake! 

I added a piece of Braided Linen Trim to complete my card.

Daisy Lane Friend

The Daisy Lane bundle on page 23 in the annual catalog was a must have on my list.  Daisies are my favorite flower!  I finally pulled it out recently to make this card.

The daisies are stamped in Rococo Rose and punched out using the Daisy and Medium Daisy punches.  The flowers are adhered to a piece of Subtles 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper in Soft Sea Foam.  The "Smile" sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock.  I punched it out using the Timeless Label Punch and cut it in half.  A piece of 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle was added as an accent.

Follow Your Art Suite

Recently I made color coach cards for the new In Colors for members of my team.  I sent them to them along with this card made using elements from the Follow Your Art Suite.

To be honest, I wasn't sure about this suite, but the longer I looked at the elements, I knew I had to get it.  The sentiment is from a demonstrator only stamp set, but all other elements are from the product suite.  

Do you see the pink paper clip at the top?  It's a die!  This suite is filled with cute, fun elements!
