Stampin' Blends - An Announcement and a Give-a-way

Hi there!

I have a lot to share today, so let's get to it.  First, here is a better picture of yesterday's card.  I was so frustrated that I couldn't get the shot I wanted yesterday.  The differences are subtle, but I like this one much better!

And now for the 'good stuff'.  Depending on what time you read yesterday's post, you may or may not have noticed that we now have a date that customers can order new Stampin' Blends.  They will be available November 1.  I truly love these markers and I know you will as well!

Click here to review all the"need-to-know" on these fabulous markers.  Pages 6 and 7 have all the details and product numbers for the markers and other supplies.  Remember, if you are planning to add these to your collection, I highly recommend the Color Lifter as well.  You will not be disappointed with it.

Stampin' Up! has also announced a Stampin' Blends giveaway!  Click here to go to the Stampin' Up! Facebook page to enter for your chance to win free product and read all the rules.

As we get closer to the actual launch date, I have my own giveaway planned.  I'll share more about it in a few days.

Finally, here is a quick video featuring the Stampin' Blends.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back tomorrow with new projects.

Seasonal Basket

Hi everyone!

It is really feeling like fall around here today (finally), so I was inspired to make a card with a "fall feel".  Basket of Wishes is a great stamp set from the annual catalog that I don't think gets a lot of attention, but with the new Stampin' Blends (available for customer order on November 1), hopefully that will change.  I paired the basket image with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and a couple of copper leaves from the Seasonal Layers thinlits.  What do you think?  Does it look like fall?
(Sorry the photo is so dark; with the shorter days it's harder to get a shot with good lighting.)

Beautiful Thing

Hello stampers,

I was looking through the cards my very talented sister sent me to share with you and found this beauty.  The designer series paper used for this card is probably my favorite single sheet of paper from the entire Holiday catalog.  It's beautiful and fits this time of year perfectly.  Enjoy!

Graceful Garden

Hi everyone!

The past couple of weeks, I have been so preoccupied with getting everything ready for my first craft show this weekend.  I love doing craft shows, but they are a ton of work!  Anyhow, Mr. Brown stopped here yesterday and brought my new order for the new Stampin' Blends!  Woohoo!  Suddenly, that craft fair was in second place.  I had to try out the Blends!

First, I love coloring.  And I especially love coloring with alcohol markers.  I've used Copics and the original Stampin' Up! Blendabilities.  I have to say, the new Blends did not disappoint!  I loved coloring with them and how easily the color saturates the cardstock.  I used the heavy weight Whisper White cardstock, which reduced the bleed through (that happens when using alcohol markers), for my stamped image.

Stampin' Blends come in two color families, a light and a dark shade of each color.  I used light and dark Calypso Coral and the light and dark Old Olive on my card.  I also used the Color Lifter to lift some of the color from the rose.  I can't stress enough how important it is to have the Color Lifter.  Not only does it save the day for the accidental coloring outside the lines, but it is invaluable in lifting color from within the colored image.  I love the brighter looking rose I got after using the Color Lifter.

This is just a sneak peek of these wonderful new markers.  As soon as we know when they will be available for customers, I'll share more of the markers and the new stamp set and card kit that work well with the Blends.

(By the way, did you recognize the Designer Series Paper panel as being from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper and the black rhinestones from the Spooky Night collection? Stampin' Up! products coordinate so nicely!)

Be-Witching

Hi there!

I can't take credit for the idea for this card.  A couple of weeks ago I saw a few variations of it and knew I had to make one, too!  Carol Read created the first one I saw.  Remember the Beautiful You stamp set?  Yes, one of the ladies is all dressed up and ready for Halloween!!!
