Poinsettia Petals Christmas

As Christmas gets closer, it's time to start kicking the holiday crafting into high gear.  Today's card highlights one selection from the gorgeous Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper.  The colors are non traditional, but I like how it turned out.  Do you like the colors?  I'd love to know what you think!

My card base is Soft Suede card stock.  A piece of Whisper White card stock frames a layer of Bumblebee card stock, Soft Suede card stock, and the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper.  The Bumblebee card stock was embossed with the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder.  The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede and cut out with the Tasteful Labels Dies.  Finally, I sprinkled Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels across the front of the card.

Hello Pumpkin

My September Paper Pumpkin kit came in the mail several days ago, but I had so much going on last week that I didn't get a chance to open it until today.  Wow, another great kit!  This kit is great for Halloween or Thanksgiving/Fall.  There are so many options for the crafter in assembling this treat holders!

This month's kit contains supplies for 20 cracker treats!  There are 3 different kinds of adhesives alone!  Not to mention an adorable stamp set, 2 spools of baker's twine, and a Cajun Craze ink spot.  I didn't count them, but another demonstrator did and reports there are more than 500 "bits" in this month's box!

Here are a couple of the treat holders - one decorated for Halloween and one decorated for Thanksgiving.  And I didn't stop there.  I used some of the pieces and the stamp set to make this card!

Next month's kit is called Joy To The World.

Bells are ringing, angels are singing, and this month’s kit is filled with joy! With a specially-designed collectible box, enough supplies to create eight elegant Christmas cards, and a unique opportunity to connect with customers and demonstrators across the globe, the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit offers a one-of-a-kind experience that’ll surely inspire you to start celebrating the season on a cheerful note.
Subscribe to this month’s magical, holiday-themed kit between 11 September and 10 October!
Kit Details: The kit contains enough supplies to create eight cards—four each of two designs—and coordinating envelopes. The kit also contains die-cut pieces in English, French, and German, which will allow you to create sentiments for cards you can use to connect with other customers and demonstrators around the world—in their language!

Tree Angle Swap Card

As part of the virtual event I attended a couple of weeks ago, we had a small card swap.   I used the fantastic Tree Angle stamp set and coordinating Stitched Triangle Dies for my card.

To create my card I started with a base of Thick Whisper White card stock and added a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The next layer is a piece of Vellum and I embossed the top half of the panel with dotted image from the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders.  Next, using the Stitched Triangle Dies, I cut out three trees from the 'Tis the Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack.  (You're going to see a lot of this paper because I really like it!)  The trees were attached with Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  The sentiments were cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and also attached with Dimensionals.  Finally, a couple of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots were added on either side of the sentiment.

Christmas Gleaming

A couple of weeks ago I participated in a virtual 2020 Holiday Showcase.  The event was filled with presentations from other successful demonstrators as well as several make & takes.  It was a super fun event and I wanted to share some of the projects we made.  Today I'm sharing the Christmas Gleaming card.  It has a lot of texture and several layers.  And it has no stamping!

My card base is Very Vanilla card stock.  The next layer is Night of Navy card stock that has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.   A smaller piece of Very Vanilla card stock was embossed with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder and framed with a piece of Copper Foil card stock.   The boughs and pine cones were cut from the Beautiful Boughs Dies.  The ornament cut from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.  And "Peace" is but from the Joy Dies.

Christmas Means More

Yesterday I was working on the card for today's post and couldn't decide on which paper combination I liked more.  So, I posted a photo of both paper combinations on my Facebook page yesterday evening.  Thankfully many of my loyal followers and friends were happy to offer their opinion!  So, here's my card with the prevailing paper combo!

My card base is Mossy Meadow card stock.  A piece of Whisper White card stock frames a piece of plaid paper from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper collection.  An additional piece of Whisper White card stock frames another piece of patterned paper from the 'Tis The Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Collection.  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut out with the Stitched Shape Dies.  I wanted to do more with the holly images that are part of that sentiment stamp.  So, I used the separate holly image from that stamp set and stamped the holly image twice on a scrap of Mossy Meadow card stock.  I cut out the leaves with my Paper Snips and add adhered them over the stamped images.  Some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels as holly berries complete the card.

Remember the 24 Hour Stamp Sale on Wednesday, September 23!  The list of stamp sets on sale is here.  (And hint, hint -- there's a Designer Series Paper Sale coming in October!  I'll have more about that soon, but there will be a lot of holiday paper on sale!)
