Falling Flowers Mother's Day

I may have been late to the game with the Falling Flowers stamp set, but in it's last few weeks in the Stampin' Up! catalog, I'm making up for lost time.  I used the images in the stamp set to create a couple of Mother's Day cards.  The cards are the same, but the color combinations are different.  I like them both, but would love to hear which one your prefer.

The sentiment is from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  The die is from the Jar of Sweets dies in the Occasions Catalog.

Coastal Cabana / Calypso Coral

The ribbon is a plain white ribbon colored with a dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends marker.  It's a great match!

Gray Granite / Daffodil Delight

There you have it.  Which color combo do you like better?

Forever Lovely

The new annual pre order for demonstrators is coming up later this week, but I'm not done picking up my favorites from the Occasions Catalog!  I got a new bundle in last week, so I sat down and made a couple of cards to share with you.

The bundle is called Forever Lovely.  It is in the front of the catalog and was really shown as part of Valentine's Day.  The 2 cards I'm sharing today are definitely NOT Valentine's Day. One is intended as a Mother's Day card and the other is intended as a wedding card.  Take a look.

This is the card that I think would make a great Mother's Day card.  I stamped the floral images in Daffodil Delight and the leaves in Granny Apple Green and Old Olive.  The image panel is adhered to a partial sheet of the the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper that has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  I punched around the panel with the Detailed Trio Punch.  A few Frosted and Clear Epoxy Elements were added to the front to complete the card.

For the wedding card, I used a panel of Whisper White card stock the floral spray die to create a border.  Next, I layered a panel of Crumb Cake that was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases.  I added a piece of 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon in Silver.

The supply lists to create these cards are shown below:

Copper Tea Tin Prayer Box

A while back I was chatting with a friend about looking for new ideas for craft fairs.  She suggested a prayer box.  I was not familiar with a prayer box, but I looked around on Pinterest and didn't find many ideas there either.  Recently, while walking through Dollar Tree, I found prayer boxes on the shelf.  OK, so now I had an idea, but still no plan.

Today I was looking at all the "stuff" in my craft room and came across my box of the Copper Tea Tins (#147034) and thought I could make them work.  So, I got to work.  Here is what I came up with.

To start, I wrapped a piece of Designer Series Paper around the tin.  For the lid, I added a border using the Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers borders and another piece of Designer Series Paper on the top.

The stamped sentiment on the front of the box and the lid are from Hold On To Hope.  The sentiment on the front of the box was cut out with the Stitched Label dies.  A piece of ribbon from the Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack is tied around the tin.

Inside the tin are 6 3 x 3 notecards stamped with the floral spray image from Hold On To Hope.  There is also a pen in the box.

So, what do you think?  If you are familiar with prayer boxes, does this hit the mark?  I'd love to hear your thoughts!
