Falling Flowers Mother's Day

I may have been late to the game with the Falling Flowers stamp set, but in it's last few weeks in the Stampin' Up! catalog, I'm making up for lost time.  I used the images in the stamp set to create a couple of Mother's Day cards.  The cards are the same, but the color combinations are different.  I like them both, but would love to hear which one your prefer.

The sentiment is from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  The die is from the Jar of Sweets dies in the Occasions Catalog.

Coastal Cabana / Calypso Coral

The ribbon is a plain white ribbon colored with a dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends marker.  It's a great match!

Gray Granite / Daffodil Delight

Strong and Beautiful

The Strong and Beautiful stamp set in the Occasions Catalog has beautiful sentiments that are perfect for Mother's' Day.  I made today's card with a pretty piece of designer series paper, a length of  Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon, and the sentiment cut out with circle dies.  The result is a beautiful card with a powerful message.

All That You Are - Mother's Day

I pulled out a new stamp set, All That You Are, for today's card.  I stamped the image in Staz-On on watercolor paper.

Then I colored the image with an Aqua Painter.  I used Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz, Balmy Blue, and Pineapple Punch to color the image.  The background is colored with Pool Party.

The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Grapefruit Grove card stock, punched out with the Story Label punch, and embossed with the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.   The greeting is from Tea Together from the Occasions Catalog.

Sweet Cups

Last week I shared a photo on my Facebook page, Stamp With Melanie, of this in progress project.

I finished the design that was in my head. 

I made my Sweet Cup into a mini gift cup and gift card holder for Mother's Day.

These can be customized for many different types of events and can be made with or without the gift card holder in the back.  The 1" Circle Punch makes a great finger grip to pull out the gift card.

I didn't take a photo, but the entire back panel is covered in white card stock for adding a personal message.

This cup has a chap stick and a hand sanitizer.  I plan to put chocolates in others.
