Brushed Blooms

 Hello friends,

I'm using the Brushed Blooms stamp set from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog for today's card.  I was on the fence about this set, but I finally decided to make the purchase - because of the greeting on today's card.

I also have a free project sheet for you to make this card.  You can find it here.

Did you know that my newsletter subscribers get several project sheets in every edition of the newsletter?  Not a subscriber?  Click here to subscribe!

The Last Chance Products Sale is now in progress.  Shop early for your best selection.  During last week's Facebook Live, I walked through the catalog and pointed out the products that are retiring.  If you missed that and would like to see it, you can catch it here.

You're Kitting Me! - Hello, Dear Friend

 Hi Friends,

Today I'm continuing my little journey through Stampin' Up!'s kits.  Why kits?  Well, I'm glad you asked!  They are a good value!  Some kits include everything you need to assemble them as shown; all kits include most everything you need to assemble as shown.  Sometimes the stamp set is included; other times you can add the selected stamp set to your order or you can use one from your stash.  But Stampin' Up! will always let you know what you may need to complete the kit as it was designed.  And, if you so choose, you can assemble the kits as designed - meaning there is no design work needed by you, or you can modify them however you want.  It's a win-win!

I'm taking a look at the Hello, Dear Friend kit  (#154573) today.  This kit is an all inclusive kit from the January - June Mini Catalog.  All inclusive kits have everything inside needed to complete the projects featured in the kit.  So you buy the kit and nothing more!

This type of kit is particularly well-suited for a crafter without a lot of supplies on hand.

Here is a look at the kit contents.

I made one substitution in the cards I made.  I used the birthday stamp from "Here's A Card" (#149438) for some of my cards.  I always have a need for more  birthday cards.  That's one of the great things about the Stampin' Up! kits.  They are flexible enough that you can substitute with other products you may have on hand!

What do I like most about it?  Three things:
-the fun vellum elements with gold accents
-the design work is done for me
-all supplies are included

Here is a look at some of the cards I made with this kit.

Hanging Easter Decoration - Casing the Catalog

Hello Friends!

Back in November, when I got my first look at the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog, I made a note by the little wall hanging on page 22.  I made it last week and it's so cute!

To make this little hanging decoration, I started with a cardboard backing approximately 6-1/4" x 4-5/8".  I covered the cardboard with a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I cut a slightly longer piece of the same paper (and turned it over) for the top and bottom.  The wreath is from the Wreath Builder dies (retiring) and the images are from the Springtime Joy stamp set.  I stamped my sentiment from the A Wish For Everything stamp set and flagged the end with the Banners Pick A Punch.  Finally, I added a hanger using the 1/4" Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon.  It was a fun and easy project!

Did you know?  Did you know that demonstrators have access to a document that has ingredients and tips for making the samples in the catalog?  So, if you ever see something you want to make, reach out to me to send you the Stampin' Up! notes!

You're Kitting Me! - You Are Amazing

 Hello friends,

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be posting about the various kits offered by Stampin' Up!

Today I'm looking at the You Are Amazing kit (155370) from the January - July 2021 Mini Catalog.

This kit includes supplies needed to complete 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs with decorated envelopes.  It also includes a printed decorative box that can be used to gift the completed kit or keep to stash those "bits" that stampers have everywhere!

The stamp set for this kit is sold separately (154534).  This is a great stamp set with fun greetings!  I used this stamp set for my February workshop by mail.

Ink and adhesives are needed to complete the kit.

What do I like most about it?  Four things:
-the beautiful fun vibrant colors
-the great stamp set
-the design work is done for me
-it goes together quickly

Finally, here is a look at some of the cards I made with this kit.

I hope you've enjoyed this look at the You Are Amazing kit!

Special Note:  Demonstrators get their first look at the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and the retiring product lists on Wednesday, March 24.  As soon as that happens, retiring products will move to "while supplies last" status.  That includes the retiring In Colors and those generally sell out really quickly.  Please click the image below for a look at all of the products that include the retiring In Colors.  If there are any of these on your wish list, order soon!  And look for the retiring lists here and on my Facebook page on Wednesday!

Hydrangea Hill

Hello friends,

Last week I pulled out the Hydrangea Hill product suite (155985) and spent some time playing with its features and creating projects to share with you!  What a great suite!  You can see it on pages 18-20 in the January - June Mini Catalog.

Look at all those beautiful components!  From the Pastel Pearls, to the very versatile Hydrangea Haven bundle (156251) and the detailed Hydrangea dies (154326) to the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate (154574), each product is unique and fun!

Here is a look at some of the projects I created.

From super easy to a little more detailed, they are all beautiful!  And I did a Facebook Live to showcase these products and projects last week.  If you missed it, you can catch it here!

Playing With Patterns Birthday

 Hello friends,

I used the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set (152539) and the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper and embellishments to create today's card.

The card base is Thick Basic White cardstock.  To that, I added a panel of patterned paper from Playing With Patterns that has a ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack tied in a bow.  Next, I used a piece of Basic White cardstock and embossed it with the Stitched With Whimsy dies.  I colored the stamp with my Stampin' Write markers using the same order of colors on the designer series paper (Bumblebee, Just Jade, Pretty Posy).  I added the panel to the card base with dimensionals and sprinkled some Playing With Patterns Resin Dots in the same colors.

Hey Chick Leprechaun

 Hi there friends,

Happy St Patrick's Day!  I have a couple of projects for you that celebrate the holiday!

First up, the leprechaun chick card.

I used the Hey Chick and Oval Occasions stamp sets to create my card.  Stampin' Blends were used to color the images.

I think this Leprechaun hat treat holder is adorable!  While I found several of them, I used the You Tube video from Julie Davison as the source for my measurements.  You can see that video here.  (And yes, those are Easter eggs in the hat....I didn't have any other "gold" candy!). I used Garden Green and Basic Black Cardstocks along with Gold Foil and Stampin Seal +.

The supply list below is for the card.
