This month's Paper Pumpkin kit arrived in my mailbox last week. With the same uncanny knack as last month's kit, this month's kit is again spot on for being appropriate for our "current normal".

Outdoor Barbecue

Hello crafty people!

We recently celebrated DH's birthday so I had a chance to make several "guy cards". This first one uses the great stamp set, Outdoor Barbecue (retiring June 2). Since grilling and smoking is our favorite way to prepare dinner together, this set is a must have for me!

For this quick and easy card, I stamped the steak in Mint Macaron all over the front of the Mint Macaron card base. I stamped the grill in Basic Gray on a piece of Whisper White card stock and colored it with Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. The sentiment was stamped in Mint Macaron and the panel cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. I framed the main panel with a piece of Smoky Slate card stock.

Things to remember:

1. Snail and snail refills are being discontinued. A new tape runner will be introduced with the new catalog.

3. Stampin' Blends will no longer be sold as singles. They will only be sold in duos beginning with the new catalog. If there are single colors you use frequently, scoop them up now!

Double Wonder

Hello crafty people!

Are you familiar with the "one sheet wonder" technique? That's where using one 12" x 12" sheet of designer series paper a number of cards are created using a template for cutting up the paper. It's a very popular technique and is great for creating a lot of cards very quickly.

A couple of weeks ago, a Stampin' Up! regional development manager introduced us to a modification of the "one sheet wonder". The "new" technique is called a "double wonder". Using 2 - 12" x 6" sheets of designer series paper (the same size included in my Ornate Garden product share), we are able to create 11 cards using 4 unique layouts!

Using items included in my Ornate Garden product sampler, I created this group of cards.

(Note: I added additional card stock and sentiments not included in the Ornate Garden Product Sampler)

Take a closer look at the cards I created for each layout.

Shannon West created the technique and Julie Davison created a graphic of the cutting template and basic instructions for each card. You can find that document here. Thanks Shannon and Julie for your creativity and for sharing with all of us!

I modified 3 of the 4 card templates to make them more "my style". And I added a varity of sentiments to show the versatility of the Double Wonder.

You Always Deliver

Greetings stampers,

Over the past several weeks, as we, as a community, have struggled with all of the changes around us, those who provide essential services for us - the mail carrier, the UPS driver, the refuse collectors - have all been there without fail. So, a couple of weeks ago, DH and I decided to give these deserving people a small gift card to say thanks for being there. And of course, I made a card for each of them. This is the card for the mail carrier.

I used "You Always Deliver" for the little guy and the sentiment. I stamped both in Basic Gray and colored the guy with the Watercolor Pencils. The border is the splatter stamp from Artisan Textures and is stamped in Night of Navy.
