Follow Your Dreams

I pulled out the retiring Follow Your Dreams bundle to create today's card.  I think this card is perfect as a graduation card.  And frankly, I'm a little sad to see it go.  Here's my quick and easy card.

This bundle is still available, so if it's one you would like to add to your collection, do so soon!

To A Wild Rose - Sneak Peek

I bought a new top recently for our upcoming vacation.  And as I was flipping through the new catalog, I saw a stamp set and card that reminded me of that top.  To A Wild Rose is the stamp set.  And here is the card I made.

I started by creating a mask of the center flower using the coordinating die from the Wild Rose Dies and covering that image.  Then I stamped several more flowers around the main image.  This is a three stamp rose, with each layer adding more detail.  I used the last stamp to add Poppy Parade to the rose.  Using a piece of scrap paper, I stamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green.  I cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered them to the main image panel.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings, stamped in Versa Mark, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  I cut it out with the smallest stitched oval die from the Stitched Shape dies.

Hold On To Hope First Communion

We were recently invited to a First Communion celebration.  Hmmm,  what to use to make a card for this event?  I didn't have Inspired Events, which specifically includes a First Communion stamp.  So, I pulled out Hold On To Hope, which is quickly becoming a go-to favorite!  Here's the card I made.

I was really pleased with the way it turned out.  There is nothing more to this card than stamping and a couple of layers of card stock.

Petal Palette Sympathy

I hope all you Moms had a very Happy Mother's Day!  I got to spend the day with my family and was spoiled all day long, so it was good!

Now, I'm on to the big task of replenishing my card stash.  Since the beginning of the year it's been quite depleted, so now it's time to build it back up!  Every year at this time of the year, I pull out stamp sets that are under-used (by me) and are retiring.  For me, Petal Palette is one of those stamp sets.  So, I pulled it out to create this card that I'm sharing here today.

I started by stamping the leaf image in Mossy Meadow on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  On a small piece of Shimmery White card stock, I stamped the floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I colored the image with the Mossy Meadow and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends families.  Then I cut out the image using the Petals and More dies.  The accent strip is a piece of Silver Foil Sheet cut out with another die from the same set.

The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases, which you will see in the new catalog!

Sneak Peek - Stamp Cleaning Pad

As I flipped through the online early peek at the new annual catalog offered to demonstrators, I noticed a new stamp cleaning pad.  I was intrigued because Stampin' Up! is still offering the Stampin Mist and Stampin' Scrub as well as the Stampin' Shammy.  When we got our pre-order list (the products we can choose to purchase early), the Stamp Cleaning Pad was on the list, so I ordered one.

Today I was working on a technique for my Tuesday Tip as well as a sneak peek card for the blog next week.

I stamped two images.  A flower outline in Memento Tuxedo Black, and a color image stamped in Poppy Parade.  I cleaned the flower outline with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, and following the package directions, I cleaned the color image with the Stamp Cleaning Pad and then rinsed it will water.  I couldn't believe the difference!  Take a look at this!

The stamp cleaned with the new Stamp Cleaning Pad and rinsed with water looks brand new!  There is no staining or discoloration!

I was so excited with what I saw that I scapped plans for today's post so I could share this news with you!  I'm sold, and I know you will be too.  And it's only $7.50!

I know you're adding this item to your wish list!

Update:  after finishing this post and these photos, I stamped a couple more images in Memento Tuxedo Black and Granny Apply Green.  I cleaned both of those stamps with the Stamp Cleaning Pad and rinsed with water.  Like new!  No trace of staining.  Woohoo!!!

Happy Stampin' and Happy Mother's Day!

Southern Serenade Thank You

The stamp set, Southern Serenade, is retiring in a few short weeks.  It's truly been one of my go-to sets, so I pulled it out to give it another work out before it retires.  For today's card, I started with a piece of Poppy Parade card stock.  Using the lacey image from the stamp set, I stamped it all over the card stock also in Poppy Parade.

Using a piece of Shimmery White card stock, I stamped the floral image in Staz-On.  Then I water-colored the image using the Aqua Painter and Poppy Parade and Call Me Clover inks.  I cut out the flower using Paper Snips.  The sentiment was stamped in Staz On on Whisper White card stock.  All panels were cut out using the stitched rectangle dies.

Incredible Like You Project Kit

My favorite project kit in the Occasions Catalog is the Incredible Like You Project Kit.  It's one of the best kits Stampin' Up! has offered (in my opinion)!  The kit has laser cut overlays for each of the cards.  It makes a total of 16 cards, 4 of each design, and coordinates with the Incredible Like You stamp set.  Just add ink, and you're ready to go!

This kit is retiring soon, so if it's on your wish list, pick it up now!
