Sneak Peek - Stamp Cleaning Pad

As I flipped through the online early peek at the new annual catalog offered to demonstrators, I noticed a new stamp cleaning pad.  I was intrigued because Stampin' Up! is still offering the Stampin Mist and Stampin' Scrub as well as the Stampin' Shammy.  When we got our pre-order list (the products we can choose to purchase early), the Stamp Cleaning Pad was on the list, so I ordered one.

Today I was working on a technique for my Tuesday Tip as well as a sneak peek card for the blog next week.

I stamped two images.  A flower outline in Memento Tuxedo Black, and a color image stamped in Poppy Parade.  I cleaned the flower outline with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, and following the package directions, I cleaned the color image with the Stamp Cleaning Pad and then rinsed it will water.  I couldn't believe the difference!  Take a look at this!

The stamp cleaned with the new Stamp Cleaning Pad and rinsed with water looks brand new!  There is no staining or discoloration!

I was so excited with what I saw that I scapped plans for today's post so I could share this news with you!  I'm sold, and I know you will be too.  And it's only $7.50!

I know you're adding this item to your wish list!

Update:  after finishing this post and these photos, I stamped a couple more images in Memento Tuxedo Black and Granny Apply Green.  I cleaned both of those stamps with the Stamp Cleaning Pad and rinsed with water.  Like new!  No trace of staining.  Woohoo!!!

Happy Stampin' and Happy Mother's Day!

What a great write up, I appreciate your teachings, thank you very much.

But I have a question. I do not like the idea of washing my red rubber and foam mounted stamps in water, I fear the foam will grow mold. Would you have any information about that??

Thanks much.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for your kind words. Per Stampin' Up!, only cling stamps and photopolymer stamps (which is all they are producing now) are mentioned to be rinsed after using the Stamp Cleaning Pad and that is to not destroy their finish. I patted my photopolymers dry with a microfiber cloth.
