Something Old, Something New

Just like tradition says, I'm combining something "old" and something new - plus a great tip - for today's wedding card! First, here's a look at my card.

Something old is the Detailed Floral dies and the sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set.  This stamp set and the dies are both retiring on June 3.
Something new is the beautiful new In Color, Terracotta Tile.  (You are going to love this color!)

And the tip is one I learned from a presentation done by Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! co-founder!  There is no Terracotta Tile embossing powder.  So, to create an embossed image in a color that is not offered as an embossing powder, ink up your stamp first in Versa Mark.  Then, before stamping the image, ink up the stamp again in the ink color.  Stamp the image and then add Clear Embossing Powder and heat set the image!  How cool is that!  I believe when Shelli shared the technique, she stamped first in the ink color and then in Versa Mark, but because I like to keep my tools looking "clean", I reverse the inking order.  It works the same either way!
