If you did not see my post on my Facebook page, Stamp With Melanie yesterday, please look for it. Stampin' Up! released several newsworthy product line announcements and I recapped them for you there.
I've been on a bit of a roll creating male birthday cards lately. Today I'm sharing a card that uses the Best Catch stamp set and Catch of the Day Dies. I've also used an element from the Under the Sea Dies. In addition, the sentiment is from Birthday Cheer. Crackle Paint was used for the background. I stamped it in Crumb Cake on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.
The Best Catch bundle is available at a 10% discount until the Occasions Catalog expires at the beginning of June, so if this set is on your list, order it before it's no longer on sale! Because we all love to save money, right?!
I used the Stampin Blends to color the fish and the basket. I sponged Old Olive on the cat tails and colored the ends with an Early Espresso marker. Then I sponged Old Olive and Crumb Cake randomly across the net. Using my bone folder, I "curled" the net going both ways to add dimension. The background panel was embossed using the Subtle embossing folder.
I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut it out. I attached the fish with Dimensionals.
The supply list to create my card is shown below.
Host code for orders under $150.00 is 9NFZX76N.
If there is anything I can help you with, shoot me a note or leave a comment.
Happy Stampin!
Melanie
