The Raven

I recently joined up with a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators in a very cool program.  Each of us creates one card and a supply list and tutorial for that card that we submit to the group.  In exchange, we get to share those projects with you.

Today I'm sharing the first project I created for that group.  I used the wonderful Halloween set from the Holiday Catalog, The Raven.

Good news! The final shipment of Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blades (item 126995) arrived early. We expected to receive this shipment from our vendor in September and therefore told you we would provide another batch of blades in September. However, because the blades arrived early and we do not want to hold them back from you and your customers, we are going to make these final blades available during the last week of August.

The final batch will be available on Tuesday, August 27, at 10:00 am (MT), and when they sell out they will be gone for good.

 In the past, blades have sold out within minutes.  And remember, the limit is three blades per customer (customer or workshop order) or demonstrator.

So, if you need blades, set a reminder for yourself now to be ready to place your order at 10:00 AM (MT) on Tuesday, August 27.  Seriously, the last time these blades were in stock, they sold out in less than 15 minutes!

The Gift Of Fall

The August Paper Pumpkin kit has fall themed tags and little gift bags.  I assembled a couple of them to give you a look.

One of my favorite things about fall is the rich colors.  The colors in this kit are no exception!

This month, in addition to the kit, subscribers were able to purchase an "add on" kit, a set of coordinating cards and envelopes.  They're so pretty and go so well with the tags and bags!

Broadway Birthday Card Idea

I've had Broadway Birthday on my desk for a couple of weeks now.  I wanted to make a card using that set since it's in the current catalog.  But I wanted my card to have a "different" look from the cards of a year ago.  So, this is what I came up with.

(Please forgive the shadows, the light was not the best when I photographed this card).

Anyhow, I stamped "Hooray" in Calypso Coral and the dotted "Hooray" in Soft Suede.  It was stamped on Whisper White card stock and cut out with Paper Snips.  The rest of the sentiment is also stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White Card Stock.  It was cut out using the Classic Label Punch.  The little bird is snipped from a sheet from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper Pack.  The background designer series paper is also from Bird Ballad.

Kindness

There are so many wonderful stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I combined three stamp sets, a punch, a die, and an embossing folder to make today's card.

A new store in my little town is now carrying my cards, which inspired me to make this card.

So, when you're in Elizabeth, be sure to stop in at Snowy's Chocolates or Simply You!

The background is the Birch stamp, the sentiment is from Waterfront, and the daisies were stamped using the Daisy Lane stamp set.

The frame was created using the dies and embossing folder Heirloom Frames.
