Create With Friends

 Hello friends - 

I used the fabulous Create With Friends stamp set to create another card perfect for a new graduate.  And my favorite,  Basic Borders Dies, played a big role.

To make this card, I die cut a panel from the retiring True Love Designer Series Paper using a dies from Basic Borders.  Using the same die, I die cut a piece of gold foil from the new Gold & Rose Gold 6" x 6" Metallic Specialty Paper. I staggered the two panels and adhered both to a piece of Basic Black cardstock embossed with the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders.  The greeting is from Create With Friends.  I stamped "Celebrate" in Versamark and heat embossed with gold from the Metallics Stampin' Emboss Powders.  To complete the card, I added a strip behind the greeting using the same gold paper.

Circle Celebration

 Hi everyone!

There are only a couple of weeks remaining to pick up your favorite goodies from the January-June Mini Catalog!  As of today, only one stamp set (Kangaroo & Company) has sold out.  My card uses another stamp set that will be retiring soon, Circle Celebration.  

I paired this stamp set with Many Happenings that can be found in the 2021-2022 catalog.  

To create the card, I used Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue ink to create shading along the left side of the card.  Then I stamped the various circle images in Misty Moonlight.  The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of scrap paper and die cut with the Messages die.  I backed it with a scrap of Misty Moonlight cardstock and adhered to the card front with Dimensionals.  Finally, I sprinkled some Opal Rounds on the card. 

A quick and easy card for graduation or to celebrate any achievement!

Sweet Strawberry Thank You

 Hi everyone,

Today's card uses the Sweet Strawberry stamp set.  

Supplies: 

• Stamp Sets – Sweet Strawberry (154394); Ornate Thanks (158301)
• Card Stock – Thick Very Vanilla (144237)
• Stamp Pads – Evening Everygreen Ink (155576); Soft Succulent Ink (155778); Pear Pizzaz Ink (147104); Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)
• Misc. – Elegant Faced Gems (152464); Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Combo (155518); Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo (155520); Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends Combo (155519); Blending Brushes (153611); Soft Succulent 3/8” Open Weave Ribbon (155780); Small Grid Paper (149621); scrap of copy paper; washi tape.

Measurements:  

• Thick Very Vanilla Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
• Soft Succulent Ribbon: 5” 
• Copy Paper: 1” x 6”

Instructions:

1. Score card base at 4 1/4” on the long side and close card. Tape down to the middle of the grid paper using washi tape.
2. Place the copy paper strip approximately 1 1/2” from top of card front and anchor with washi tape. Use the grid paper to ensure the mask is straight.
3. Using Evening Evergreen ink, stamp the blossom and leaf cluster so that the bottom of the stems stamp onto the copy paper and the main part of the image stamps above the mask strip. Repeat below the copy paper mask.
4. Using Soft Succulent Ink, stamp the large leaf outline above and below the mask. Using the fill-in stamp, stamp off once with Soft Succulent Ink and stamp inside the leaves. Stamp the large flower outline with Evening Evergreen Ink as in the picture above.
5. Add Pear Pizzaz Ink to the Blending Brush and swipe several times where the copy paper meets the card front, above and below the mask.
6. Remove the 1” x 6” copy paper mask and stamp the greeting with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
7. Make a very small bow with the Soft Succulent ribbon (TIP: this is more easily done if you make the bow while the ribbon is on the spool).
8. Add 3 large clear Elegant Faceted Gems.

Hand-Penned Monthly Workshop By Mail

 Hi everyone!

It's time for the June workshop by mail!  I'm very excited about this workshop - I love all the cards so much!  And while I typically include 4 cards in every workshop, I couldn't stop creating with this one, so there are 5 different cards!

You will make 10 cards - 2 each of 5 designs!

 

All the design work and a lot of the prep work is done for you!  You will receive a color pdf (sent by email) with photos and instructions for each of the projects.  In addition, I will send you at least $24 in product that you can use to keep on creating after making the class projects. (Inks and adhesives are not included).

Cost of the class is $38.00, which includes shipping to you by priority mail.  The stamp set and dies are not included.  The cards have been designed so you can use any stamp set in your stash.  However, if you would like to add on the bundle, you may do so at a discounted price of $39.75.

Reserve your kit by June 16, 2021.  Kits will ship out to you no later than June 30.

To reserve your kit, send payment.  Be sure your address and any messages are included.

Note:  If workshop products go out of stock, your workshop kit will be shipped once everything is available.  As of Sunday, June 6, all of the products are in stock!

Encircled In Friendship

 Hi everyone,

Today's card is from the brand new Encircled In Friendship Bundle available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  This bundle has beautiful sentiments in the stamp set and fantastic detailed dies.  

My card base is Polished Pink cardstock with a base panel from Expressions In Ink DSP bordered with a strip of gold foil cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black on Pearlescent Specialty Paper.  When using Memento on the Pearlescent paper, allow extra time for the ink to dry.  I waited 24 hours, but I'm sure the wait doesn't need to be that long.  And in a hurry, the heat gun can be used to set the ink.  After allowing time for the ink to dry, I die cut the image and adhered it to the card front with a piece of Polished Pink ribbon under the panel.

Hand-Penned Thanks

 Hi everyone,

I want to start out by saying thank you to everyone that has taken a minute to reach out to me over my "Always Remember" card commemorating Memorial Day.  Over 300 likes, comments, and messages.  For me, those are  overwhelming numbers.  Thank you!  And thanks again and again to those that sacrificed everything for us.

I made today's thank you card for a creative challenge.  It uses products from Hand-Penned along with the Basic Borders dies.  Take a look.

To make this card, I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added a panel of Highland Heather cardstock.  I die cut Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight panels with the Basic Border Dies and adhered to a panel of Hand-Penned DSP.  The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather on Basic White cardstock and die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies.  A double strand of white baker's twine and Fresh Fresia gems complete the card.
