Adoring Arrows

Hello stampers,

We had a beautiful spring like weekend the past several days.  But "they" say it will be back to winter by the end of the next week.  Even so, I found some time to play with my new Paper Pumpkin kit.  This is a really cute kit - supplies to make 26 Valentine's treat bags.  I also made a card using supplies from the kit.

The painting project is over - sort of.  For whatever reason, the coverage was not as expected - and a gallon of paint in that small room is gone.  Ugh!  DH is off to the store on Friday to talk to them about it and to bring home more paint!

Thankfully it's the end of the week!  So, that means it's time for a card from my very talented sister!

Friend of Texture

Hi everyone!

I'm a little loopy tonight from smelling fumes all day.....who says that interior paints are oodorless?  When we bought our house, one wall in the dining room proudly displayed a map of Italy and the opposite wall had a hand lettered saying "La Dolce Vita..."  Both were hand drawn / painted ... and frankly, not what I wanted in my dining room.  They're gone.  But, the paint we chose has a sandy texture, meaning it doesn't go on smooth and is good at hiding imperfections - and it stimks!   I think it has a petroleum base.   Anyhow...enough whining about paint fumes!

I finally had the opportunity to pull out a stamp set I love - and haven't used previously - Touches of Texture!  It's a lovely set - and one I'm sure I'll use more in the next few months!

Hey Chick!

Hi everyone!

The mail person not only wore shorts to deliver our mail in PA today, but he brought happy mail!  I got my Paper Pumpkin kits for this month. Hooray!  In addition, I got back my cards from a swap I did with several other demonstrators.  Seriously, these are some of the nicest cards I've ever received from a swap.  I'll share those with you next week.

This gal is my favorite!  And have you seen the tip on how to create the chicken wire background?  This is cool....use the new Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  But rather than using it to emboss, ink it up, lay your cardstock inside, close it and press with your finger to transfer the ink!
