Always Remember

 Hello friends,

Memorial Day is commemorated on the last Monday in May in the United States.  That's means it will be this Monday.  I created today's card using Painted Poppies, Peaceful Moments. Very Versailles in honor of all the veterans honored on Memorial Day - and every day.  

To make this card, I stamped the script image from Very Versailles in Sahara Sand ink after stamping off once.  The poppy image was stamped in Memento and colored with Stampin Blends in Poppy Parade and Old Olive.  The border is the larger splatter stamp from Painted Poppies stamped in Poppy Parade after stamping off once.  The sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark on Misty Moonlight cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  It was die cut using a banner die from Tasteful Labels.  The image panel is adhered to a background of Misty Moonlight cardstock accented with a strip of Poppy Parade cardstock.

Plentiful Plants

 Hello friends!

I pulled out the Bloom Where You're Planted product suite for today's card.  It's a fun product grouping and there's so much that can be done with it.  Included in this suite are the Plentiful Plants bundle (stamp set and dies set), Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper, and Paper Lattice.  I really like all of them, but I think that Paper Lattice is my favorite!  It adds such a fun detail to projects.

I created a project sheet for this card:

Supplies: 

• Stamp Sets – Plentiful Plants (155693)
• Card Stock – Basic White (159276); Thick Basic White (159229); Crumb Cake (120953)
• Stamp Pads – Crumb Cake (147116); Cinnamon Cider (153114); Soft Succulent (155778); Evening Evergreen (155576)
• Misc. – Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper (DSP)  (155696); Paper Lattice (155697); Perfect Plants Dies (155562); Dimensionals (104430); Genial Gems (155500)

Measurements:  

• Card Stock 1: scraps for die cuts and label
• Card Stock 2: 11-1/2” x 4-1/4” 
• Card Stock 3: scrap for die cut 
• DSP:  DSP 1 5-1/4” x 4”; DSP 2 2-1/2” x 4”

 

Instructions:

• Score Thick Basic White cardstock at 5-1/2” and fold.
• Adhere piece of DSP 5-1/4” x 4” to card base; adhere smaller DSP to Paper Lattice and layer both on card base
• Stamp plant in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen on Basic White scrap; stamp planter in Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake on Basic White scrap.
• Die cut stamped images
• Die cut plant hanger using Crumb Cake scrap
• Stamp greeting in Evening Evergreen and trim to 3-5/8” x ¾”
• Assemble plant, planter, and hanger and adhere card front
• Adhere greeting with Dimensionals
• Sprinkle Genial Gems as shown

Artistically Inked Birthday

 Hey everyone - 

I finally got all my "to-do"s done and spent some time cleaning my desk.  What a good feeling!  So this afternoon I spent some time making some fun cards.

First up is this birthday card using products from the Expressions in Ink Suite.  You can find these items beginning on page 96 in the annual catalog.  First, if you haven't seen the designer series paper in the suite, take a good look at it - it's beautiful!  Color splashed over the pages with gold foil accents.  It's a must see!

The two designer series papers on my card are both from that designer series paper pack.   The floral layer was die cut using the fabulous Basic Borders Dies.  And then there is just a small strip of the gold striped foil under it.  I stamped the birthday greeting in Polished Pink ink directly on the card base.  Finally, I tied a bow of white bakers twine around the top of the card and sprinkled some sequins from the Expressions In Ink Ephemra Pack on the card front.

Batter Up!

 Hi everyone!

I know some Paper Pumpkin kits were delayed this month, but mine arrived over the weekend.  As a big baseball fan, I was really looking forward to this month's kit - and it did not disappoint!

Soar Confidently - Father's Day

 Hey there everyone!

I'm turning back to the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog for today's card.  From the time I first saw the catalog, the Soar Confidently stamp set was on my wish list.  I love the artwork in this set!  But then, I ordered it, and when it came in, it just sat on my shelf.  I hate when that happens!  So, I cruised Pinterest looking for a little inspiration.  I found a few cards similar to the one I ended up making for Father's Day.  By simply changing the greeting this card would be appropriate for a graduation or birthday.

To create this card, I used a Blending Brush to apply a background of Balmy Blue to a Basic White cardstock panel and I stamped the sentiment in the upper left corner of the same panel in Memento Tuxedo Black.

On a Basic White cardstock scrap, I stamped the balloon in Memento Tuxedo Black.  Using Stampin' Blends, I added color to the balloon stripes using  light So Saffron.  And I used the light Soft Succulent to color the band around the balloon.  Finally, I added a Crumb Cake to the basket.  Using Snips, I cut out the balloon, taking care to not leave any border around the stamped image.  I adhered the balloon to the card panel with Dimensionals.  Finally, I layered the stamped panel to a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock and a Thick Basic White cardstock card base.
