Hey there everyone!
I'm turning back to the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog for today's card. From the time I first saw the catalog, the Soar Confidently stamp set was on my wish list. I love the artwork in this set! But then, I ordered it, and when it came in, it just sat on my shelf. I hate when that happens! So, I cruised Pinterest looking for a little inspiration. I found a few cards similar to the one I ended up making for Father's Day. By simply changing the greeting this card would be appropriate for a graduation or birthday.
To create this card, I used a Blending Brush to apply a background of Balmy Blue to a Basic White cardstock panel and I stamped the sentiment in the upper left corner of the same panel in Memento Tuxedo Black.
On a Basic White cardstock scrap, I stamped the balloon in Memento Tuxedo Black. Using Stampin' Blends, I added color to the balloon stripes using light So Saffron. And I used the light Soft Succulent to color the band around the balloon. Finally, I added a Crumb Cake to the basket. Using Snips, I cut out the balloon, taking care to not leave any border around the stamped image. I adhered the balloon to the card panel with Dimensionals. Finally, I layered the stamped panel to a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock and a Thick Basic White cardstock card base.
