Hi everyone!
I used the recently neglected Butterfly Brilliance stamp set to make this birthday card to share with you today. I love the "late summer" look of this card.
I used the emboss resist technique. To recreate, stamp your butterfly stamp in VersaMark on a piece of Basic White card stock. Sprinkle white embossing powder over the stamped images; then use your heat gun to set. Using Blending Brushes and colors of your choice, apply color over the panel. Once complete, wipe the panel softly with a paper towel to remove any excess color. For my card I used Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, and Pumpkin Pie. Adhere the panel to a piece of Copper Foil card stock. Wrap White Baker's Twine around the panels; adhere to a Calypso Coral card base. I stamped the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White card stock and die cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies. Another piece of Copper Foil card stock cut with the same die frames the greeting. To complete the card, I sprinkled some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots across the card front.
If you haven't tried this technique, or used it recently, I'll hope you'll give it a try!
