Friday night I finally pulled out the Brusho and gave it a try. Brusho is the new (to Stampin' Up!) coloring medium on page 26 of the Occasions Catalog. I created a couple of backgrounds; one of which is the background for today's card. I'm sharing the Stampin' Up! video further on down in this post, but I am sharing a couple of tips I learned:
1. I used watercolor paper. I think the thick card stock would work also, but because of the amount of water used, I started with the watercolor paper.
2. The Stampin' Spritzers or Aqua Painters can be used to apply ... the spritzer for a more all over effect, the aqua painters for a more controlled effect. For today's background, I used the Stampin' Spritzer initially, applied the color, and then use the Aqua Painter to distribute the color over the watercolor paper.
I didn't get real adventurous to start, but I plan to play more - hopefully tomorrow. The colors are incredibly vibrant. And a little goes a long way!
And, here is my card. I combined elements from Heart Happiness and Sure Do Love You to create my Valentine.
Here is the Stampin' Up! video on using Brusho.
