Tropical Oasis Birthday

It's back to the "tropics" today for this quick and easy birthday card.  The Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper does the heavy lifting for this card.  And I think it makes a great birthday card for a guy.  Don't you agree?

To color the palm trees, I used my Stamparatus and post-it notes.  I used the post-it's to mask the parts of the stamped image that I did not want colored.  And the Stamparatus held the stamp and card stock in place.  For example, I stamped the palms and added the mask right where the tree trunk met the palms.  Then I moved the post-it's to cover the palms to stamp the trunks.

Tropical Oasis

The Tropical Oasis Suite is from the Jan-Jun Mini.  And wow, it's a good one!  Kind of makes me feel like it's warm and sunny outside, even though that's far from what's really going on.  So, for that reason alone, I love this suite of products!

For today's card, I chose the pineapple to get us started.

Take a look at the embossed image behind the pineapple.  That Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder is fantastic!  I love the depth and realism created by this embossing folder.  Woohoo!

The pineapple was cut out of Crushed Curry card stock.  I added a little sponging in Soft Suede.  The pineapple top was created with Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz card stock.
