From My Heart

Every year I end up with so many more Valentine's cards than I can ever use - even at the stores that sell my cards.  But I can't help myself.  Once I get started, they keep coming.  So here's another.  It's all stripes and hearts.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all of these cards.  If you have any ideas, leave me a comment or send me a message.

Tip:  The sentiment and heart outline for this card are embossed.  Since Stampin' Up! doesn't sell Real Red embossing powder, here is how I created this look.  There are 2 ways to do it.  First, the way I did it.

Ink up the stamp in Versa Mark and then in Real Red ink.  Stamp the card stock and then add clear embossing powder.  Use the heat gun to set.

The second way to emboss in color is better for those that can't stand the thought of "double-dipping" the stamp in two inks.  You need the Stamparatus for this method.  Using the magnet(s) to hold your card stock in place and with the stamp in place on the top panel, ink up the stamp in Versa Mark,  stamp the image on the card stock.  Without moving the stamp or the card stock, clean the stamp.  Then repeat the process with the Real Red ink.  Add embossing powder, and use heat gun to set.

Your preference.  Both methods work and neither damages the ink pad
