Simply Succulents and Stampin' Up! News

 Hello friends!

I used the wonder Simply Succulents stamp set and Potted Succulents dies for today's card.  The background die cut and the Scalloped Contours die cut were done using the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum. Here is my card:

The stamped images were colored with a variety of Stampin' Blends.  I have't added a sentiment to this card yet because I don't know yet how I will use it.  However, you can see that it can be used for any variety of occasions.

A couple quick reminders:  

The "Savings Are In Bloom" promotion ends March 31.  Refresh your memory as to what's included here.

A New Catalog Is Coming - And More News From Stampin' Up!

Hello Crafty People!

Safari Celebration

 Can I be honest with you?  When I first saw the previews for the February Paper Pumpkin kit, Safari Celebration, I was not a fan.  It just didn't do anything for me.  So, I set it aside for a couple of weeks, you know, like maybe if I left it alone it would turn into something else.  Ha!  That didn't happen, but when I opened the box back again and actually made the cards, they turned out to be so much cuter than I expected!  

The kit makes 3 of each design and includes coordinating envelopes.  And it really is cute!  My favorite?  No.  But I'll definitely use these cards!

Art Gallery Thank You

 Last week I had the Abstract Beauty 4" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper sitting on my desk and this pattern was on top.  Its so soft and pretty, I had to use it in a card!  

I decided to use the newly reborn Art Gallery bundle (20% off bundle pricing for March only!) for my card.  I stamped the flower in Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight, and the stem and leaves in Just Jade.  Perfect to go with the patterned paper background I was set on using!  I added Wink of Stella to the flower so it really sparkles and I adhered the flower to an octagon die cut from the Beautiful Shapes dies.  I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight and used the dies from the Art Gallery bundle to die cut.  Finally, I added a Pool Party Sheer Ribbon bow and some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete my card.

Seascape

Stampin' Up! has several bundles on sale for 20% off during March.  That inspired me to pull out some of them for a little crafting.  I started with one that's been sitting on my shelf unused for too long.  I used Seascape to make 2 cards - a slimline card and a traditional size card.  Here they are.  What a fun bundle!

The fish and seahorse dies in this set are so unique!  They cut out a partial image.  But with a couple of snips, they can be completely cut out.  Let's take a closer look at each card:

This card is a standard 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card.  My card base is Just Jade.  I stamped the Gentle Waves stamp on the base.  On a piece of Basic White card stock cut to 5-1/4" x 4",  I started out by die cutting the fish.  Then, using blending brushes and holding the fish out of the way, I added Crumb Cake along the bottom of the card and a blend of Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party for the water.  I stamped the plant and greeting in Just Jade, again, holding the fish away from the stamping.  The bubble were stamped in Pool Party.  The background behind the fish is a piece of Designer Series Paper from Waves of the Ocean.  The embellishments are from Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.

For my second card, I made a slimline card, starting with a Coastal Cabana followed by a layer of Basic White card stock.  The next layer is a piece of Designer Series Paper from Waves of the Ocean.  I used a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink to the bottom of the panel and then added the sand stamp, also stamped in Crumb Cake.  The sea plants were stamped in Just Jade and Granny Apple Green.  I used Rainbow Glimmer Paper to die cut the little fish and Ombre Specialty Paper to die cut the sea horse.  I stamped the greeting in Coastal Cabana on Basic White card stock and finished off the card with Faux Sea Glass Shapes in the "sand" and Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels by the greeting.

I created recipe cards for each of the projects.  They are print-able, as I know some of you like to print them off and save them.
