With Sympathy

It's time for me to place my order for the new Stampin' Up! Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card recently.   I grabbed a piece of the Springtime Foils (from Sale-a-bration) to use for the base for my image panel and got started.  To start I swiped my Memento Tuxedo Black pad across the Springtime Foils and wiped it with a paper towel to create the matte black finish.  Then, I stamped the images from Remarkable You in Memento and colored them with my Stampin' Blends.  I also used the Blends to color the Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon so it matches the flower.  The greeting is from Rose Wonder.

With Sympathy

Hi there stampers,

My least favorite type of card to make is a sympathy card.  Yet, I found myself in need of one a couple of weeks ago.  A very good friend lost her mother just a few days after Mom's 100th birthday.  One hundred years!  Wow!

Anyhow, I digress.  So what set would I use for my card?  I thought about it for a couple days before I settled on one of my favorite sets that I haven't used lately - Rose Wonder.

With Sympathy

Sympathy cards are difficult for everyone - including me.  Occasionally I will make up a few in advance, but typically, with this type of card I make them as needed.  Today's card is no exception.  A good friend from college lost her Mother recently.  This is the card I made to send her.
