Leaves are falling

This is a scene that we saw everywhere we went over the weekend.  The leaves are almost all off the trees and folks were busy raking, blowing, and mowing.  Tonight we're supposed to have our first snow flurries of the season.  Bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I'm not looking forward to cold and snow!

The new few days are all about thanks...being thankful, Thanksgiving, you get the point.  For today's card, I pulled out one of my favorite papers from Sweater Weather.  But I wasn't very happy with the look.  I tried different papers, but no, it just didn't work the way I wanted.  Finally, I tried the reverse of my first choice.  Success!  This, I liked!  A lot!  Hope you do also.

Harvest of Blessings

Will you get a lot of Trick or Treaters coming to your house tonight?  For years we got 10-15 kids per year, and even though I always prepared for more, they never came.  Last year, we set a record.  Almost 50 kids.  Finally!  We always decorate the yard for Halloween and it was so nice that so many got to see it!  So this year, I'm prepared for 60-70 kids.  And guess what?  We're supposed to have storms!  It looks like I may have a lot of left overs to take into the office on Friday!  What about you?  Do you have a lot of Trick or Treaters at your house?
 
So with Halloween behind us (almost), it's time to turn our thoughts to Thanksgiving.  With that in mind, I have this card for you.  You'll most likely see this set a couple more times because ideas are forming for different cards using this set.  It wasn't quite what I wanted when I was done, so I added some Gorgeous Grunge.  That seemed to give it a finish I liked.
