Happy Birthday in Calypso Coral and Tranquil Tide

Hi everyone!  

I have a quick card share for you today.  Tomorrow is Day 1 for the new annual catalog and I need to finalize my order!  I have three lists here, but I need to condense it down to one!  So, forgive me for posting and running, but I have pressing matters at hand!

Quick reminder and things to remember....ordering starts at noon Mountain Time.  So, if you try to order before Stampin' Up is ready, you won't get in.  The ordering system at Stampin' Up! will be VERY busy tomorrow, and will probably be down for part of the day.  Anxious customers and demonstrators usually crash the system a couple of times during the day.  

Now for my card:  

The Happy Birthday greeting is die cut in both Calypso Coral and Tranquil Tide.  After layering, I added a little Wink of Stella to add a little sparkle to the image.  The Designer Series Paper in the background of the image panel is the new Delightful Daisy pack.  I finished off the card by adding a piece of 1/2" Woven Ribbon in Tranquil Tide and three Clear Faceted Gems.

Housework Whenever

Hello stampers!

There is a great set in the new catalog, "Crafting Forever".  Every image in the set really speaks to me!  And, as an added bonus, one of the patterns in the "Pick a Pattern"  Designer Series Paper pack also works well with that set.  Take a look at today's card to see if you agree.  I colored the main image with a blender pen.  I used the Layering Ovals and Layering Squares Framelits to frame the image panel and the greeting panel.  I attached the image panel on a slant to make it look a little askew...just like my craft desk!

Catching Up with Stampin' Up!

Hello stampers,

The new catalog goes live on June 1, so there is a lot to update.  Be sure to read to the end for my own personal new catalog ordering special.  No new card today, but I did post a new card to my Facebook page, Stamp With Melanie.

The Eastern Palace Early Release Bundles are available through May 31.  If you've had one of these gems on your wish list, this is your last chance to grab it along with the free gifts!

The Front Porch

Greetings Stampers,

When I saw today's card from my very talented sister, I had two thoughts:

1.  I would call this post "I See A Red Door..." and then I thought, not only would I be dating myself, but no one would know the reference.  Do you know?  Leave me a comment here or on my Facebook page, Stamp with Melanie.

2.  We sure do think alike sometimes!  You see, we haven't spoken since my Aunt's funeral a couple of weeks ago - and we surely didn't talk about cards for my blog.  Yet, before she had a chance to see my post from yesterday, her card arrived.  Sometimes there is no denying we are sisters!  If you are a regular reader, by now I'm sure you have an idea what you will see, but there is more!

I love it!  Those awesome chairs are from another new bundle, Colorful Seasons.  I'll be sharing more from that bundle in the next couple of weeks.

Sending Hugs

Hello stampers!

Can you feel the excitement in the air?  The new annual catalog goes into effect in just a little over a week - and the anticipation is building!

For me, one of the most popular bundles in the new catalog will be Lovely Inside and Out. This is an incredibly versatile stamp set combined with some great word thinlits.  I think you'll love it.   This bundle can be found on page 157 in your catalog.

And here is the quick and easy card I came up with to share with you today:

I stamped the images in the new In Colors of  Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide.  The word "hugs" is from a silver foil sheet and "sending" is stamped in Basic Black.  The image panel is framed by Basic Black cardstock and mounted on Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

A Birthday and a Baby Girl

Hi everyone!

May 22 is the last day for guaranteed availability of stamp sets retiring as of May 31.  So, if there is one that has caught your eye, it's time to place that order!

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards that both feature stamp sets that are on that retiring list.  One is to celebrate a family birthday and one is to celebrate the pending arrival of one of two new great nieces coming in a couple of months! Woohoo!  Exciting times in our family!

First up is the birthday card.  This card uses the Cake Crazy set.  This is the first time I've used this set.  I've seen so many cute cards with this set and I had to have it, but once it got here, all it did was sit on my shelf!  Well, no more.  I pulled it out for this card:
