Happy, Happy, Happy

Greetings!

Over the past couple of months I've participated in a number of swaps.  With a swap, a stamper makes a number of the same card and sends them off to the swap organizer.  In return, the stamper receives the same number of different cards.  Swaps are very popular when a new catalog is introduced as a way to share a variety of products with blog readers and customers, even the the swapper may not own all the products shared.  Make sense?

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a Returning Sets swap.  All of these stamp sets have been available at least since the beginning of 2017.  The stamp set for my card was originally introduced with the spring 2017 Occasions catalog.  Tomorrow and the next day I will share some of the cards I received in return.

I hope you enjoy these swaps!

Special Note:  I recently joined up with some other demonstrators to write articles for our blogs that we shared.  So, I wrote 1 article and got access to 19 more to share with you.  Today is the first.  Please let me know if you like this feature by your comments or emails so I know if I should continue to participate.  No comments will tell me that you don't care for this feature.

Stamping Tip – Re-Inking Ink Pads

Do your ink pads need re-inking? If you get a light, faded image when you stamp, then it is time to re-ink your ink pad. It is best to purchase the re-inker when you purchase the ink pad, that way you have it when you need it in the middle of a project.
Firm Foam Classic Ink Pads – These ink pads hold less ink than the linen covered pads and require re-inking more often.  Take the re-inker and apply ink in a zig-zag pattern across the whole pad. Start again from the opposite side and apply more ink in the opposite direction.
The ink is not immediately absorbed into the pad; it will appear to sit on top of the ink pad. Use a spoon or bone folder to gently spread the ink evenly across the entire pad. Test out the ink pad using a solid image stamp and add more ink if necessary. Clean the spreading tool with soap & water – it will be stained.
Linen Covered Ink Pads – The Archival Basic Black and Basic Gray Classic ink pads as well as all of the older Stampin’ Up! Classic pads are made with a felt substance and have a linen top. To re-ink these pads apply ink as directed above. You will see the ink immediately soak in.  Repeat the process until you notice the absorption rate slows down.
If you find you have added too much ink, use a paper towel to blot off the excess ink.

For You Gift Card Holder

Hey everyone!

A couple of weeks ago, I shared this gift card holder from my very talented sister:

You really liked it and several of you reached out to me to ask for a tutorial to make one of your own.  So, I created my own version and I'm sharing it today, with tutorial!

Here is my version:

And the inside:

Here are the instructions:

1.  Starting with a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 11", score along the long side at 5.5" and 8.5"

2.  Using the 1-3/4" circle punch, notch a half circle in the end of the 2.5 " section.

3.  Fold the 2.5" section into the 3" section and adhere with Tear and Tape Adhesive.

4.  Decorate.

Please let me know if anything is not clear!

I am so excited to share with you my new Stamp(set) of the Month!  Details are below.  But first, how about a look at a couple of the cards you can make with this the products.  Be sure to read to the end for all the details!

First up, a birthday card....or any "Happy" card...

and a Celebrate card:

Now for the details:

Stamp(set) of the Month – Happy Celebrations

The Stamp(set) of the Month for June is Happy Celebrations.

When you order (SOTM)
    Happy Celebrations #143012 and
Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders #142760

You will get:
An email with a file containing pictures and directions to complete 4 cards or projects.  The two cards shared today are a preview and will be included in this month’s package.  All supplies and dimensions will be listed in the file.  The email will be sent to the email address on file used when you placed your order.

In addition, you will receive a thank you card from me along with a small gift that can be used for completing your projects.  This will be sent a couple of weeks later by US Mail.

This is a very versatile set that can be used for oh so many occasions!  I am starting the Stamp(set) of the Month (SOTM) for June now for two reasons:
1.       This set is available now (and it’s not likely to go on backorder on June 1)
2.       There are so many celebratory events this time of year

So, when you order this set by June 20 and use Club Code UMM7ZWVJ, you will receive the email, thank you card using this stamp set, and your small gift!  I’m sure you will love it all!

Bonus, you will also qualify for my ordering bonus for May and June!  Yippee!!!  More free stuff!

Ordering bonus for May:

With your $40.00 in May, I will send you 2 feet (24 inches) of 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in each of the new 2017-2019 In Colors.  That's a total of 10 feet of ribbon!  Free!  Woohoo!  This offer is good only for orders placed through May 31!
