Very Vintage Gift Card Holder - The Inside

Yesterday I shared this new to me gift card holder I'm making for this spring's craft shows.  Here is another look at the outside.

Today, we're taking a closer look at the inside.  Seriously, this is the easiest gift card holder I've ever made!

This picture shows the inside with the gift card in the pocket.  The next photo shows a photo without the gift card.  And then I'll tell you how I made it.

Ok, so here's how to create this gift card holder.  It's probably harder to type it out than it is to make it!

Start with a piece of DSP or card stock 4-1/4 x 11.   Score at 3, 5-1/2, and 8 inches.

After folding along the score lines, add a length of Tear and Tape to adhere the two inside valley folds together.

Next, add the opening for the gift card.  I used the Classic Label Punch to create that opening.  It takes about 1-1/2 lengths of the Classic Label Punch to create the right sized opening.

After creating the opening, I added a length of ribbon to the outside of the gift card holder so it can be closed with a bow.  Add adhesive to the outside of the gift card holder and then place inside the card.
Finally, I added a piece of cardstock to the back panel of the gift card holder so a personal note can be added.

I added a thin velcro closure to the inside of the card to help keep it closed a little better.  I only recently saw them and I'm sold!  Look for them on Amazon.

I hope I explained this clearly  If not, feel free to reach out to me with your questions!

Very Vintage Gift Card Holder

I've been working on new products for craft fairs.  Some are updates to previous things I've displayed, others are completely new.  Today I'm sharing a new for me style of gift card holder.

I've used a 3-1/2 x 5" note card for the outside of my gift card holder.  I stamped the flower image in Highland Heather and the border in Crumb Cake.  The images are from Very Vintage, a hostess set.  The sentiment is from that same set and is embossed in White on a piece of Highland Heather card stock and cut out using a die from the Stitched Label Framelits.

Here's a quick look at the inside, but I'll talk more detail about the inside tomorrow.

The supply list to create the card front is shown below.

Coffee Break Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

I hope you are enjoying our Coffee Break Blog Hop along with a cup of coffee or tea. I’m hopping with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. You may have arrived from Sandy's blog. She had a fabulous project, didn't she?
Today’s hop features the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP) with coordinating Coffee Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cup framelits. With 12 patterns to select from on 6 double sided sheets, our blog hop projects may or may not include coffee themes. The opposite sides of the dsp usually feature a complimentary pattern like strips, circles or asymmetrical prints that may be used instead of the coffee patterns.
I typically have a booth at 5-6 vendor and craft shows every year.  One of my biggest sellers is my coffee themed gift card holders.  So, I decided to share a couple of them with you today.

Here they are,

I add some caramels to the mini coffee cups for a little extra.

The gift card slips behind the belly band.  People love these!  I took a cup apart to get the template for the wrap around the card.  I ordered my cups and lids from Amazon.

This one is new to me and will debut at shows in the next couple of weeks.

Here is is opened up.  What you can't see in the photos is the nice heavy feel of this gift card holder from all the layers.  On the front, the little flap on the left tucks under the coffee cup image. I found the template for this holder from Dawn Griffith.

Please add a comment and let me know what you liked about my projects.

For You Gift Card Holder

Hey everyone!

A couple of weeks ago, I shared this gift card holder from my very talented sister:

You really liked it and several of you reached out to me to ask for a tutorial to make one of your own.  So, I created my own version and I'm sharing it today, with tutorial!

Here is my version:

And the inside:

Here are the instructions:

1.  Starting with a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 11", score along the long side at 5.5" and 8.5"

2.  Using the 1-3/4" circle punch, notch a half circle in the end of the 2.5 " section.

3.  Fold the 2.5" section into the 3" section and adhere with Tear and Tape Adhesive.

Please let me know if anything is not clear!
