Cheers to the New Year

Happy New Year!

Do you make new year's resolutions?  I don't really make any.  But I always look forward optimistically to a "good" year.  And at the end of the year, I can typically confirm that it has been a good year.  And I'll leave it at that!

I pulled out a couple of my favorite stamp sets to make this card to celebrate the new year.

The greeting is from Warm Hearted.  This set is in the Holiday Catalog and will retire on January 2, 2019.  The glasses are from the set, Half Full.  I embossed all of the stamped images and greetings with gold embossing powder.

2018 Top Ten

It's interesting to look back through the year's blog posts to see what you liked, and what missed the mark.  And believe me, there were plenty that weren't quite there.  However, my most popular card ever was earlier this year!

Beautiful Baubles

I know when I participate in a blog hop some of you don't receive that post.  So, if you think you may have missed the hop, click here to start the hop.  There are some great projects to be seen!

For today's card, I used the Beautiful Baubles bundle.  I stamped the image twice and used the thinlit on one of the images to cut out each of the small ornaments.  Mini Dimensionals were used to pop up the small ornaments.  I used the 2 large circle thinlits to cut the decorative frame from the Merry Merlot glimmer paper.  The greeting was cut out using the Stitched Label Framelits.  All stamping was done in Gray Granite.

December Blog Hop

I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring packaging  projects. What fun!  I love packaging projects!  Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe are participating so we have a wide array of fun projects to share with you! You may have arrived from Sandy Ward's blog. She had a fabulous project!

As much as I love the holidays, I decided to step away and use the Incredible Like You stamp set from the upcoming Occasions Catalog, as well as several products from Sale-a-bration.

Here's a look at my decorated pillow box.

The Grapefruit Grove foil band, the butterflies, and the beautiful Highland Heather Organdy Ribbon are all from Sale-a-bration!  I know you are going to love the Sale-a-bration catalog offerings this year!  The butterflies were snipped from a sheet of paper from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper Pack.  I really like the fresh, spring-y look of this box!

And, since the holidays are really right around the corner, I also have a quick holiday project for you.  It's perfect for stockings, co-workers, or holiday dinner gifts!  And they're great for a last minute addition!

Aren't they cute?  Simply take a piece of designer series paper 1 inch x 3 inches and wrap it around each nugget.  I use a little Tombow to hold them in place.  I used the 2" x 8"  Cellophane Bags to hold the nuggets and cut them down to just a little longer than the number of wrapped nuggets.  I tied a piece of twine from the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine around the bag and finished off my project with a tag from the Tags & Tidings Bundle.
