Sale-a-bration 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to 2018 and my first blog hop for the year! We have lots of creativity to share with you featuring Sale-a-bration 2018 products. Let's get started!
My projects showcase the stamp set Heartfelt Blooms, which has a gorgeous bunch of flowers.  This stamp set is part of Stampin’ Up!’s new line of Distinktive stamp sets. The stamps lay down the ink at different opacities giving the finished images more depth.  You won’t believe the amazing detail this stamp creates.  In fact, I couldn’t decide on just one card, so I made two to show off this fantastic set!
My first card has a heat embossed main image panel.

I inked the stamp in Versa Mark and the Calypso Coral before covering with clear embossing powder and set with the heat gun.

Look at that detail - incredible for an embossed image!

My second card is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink.  I then used my Aqua Painters to color the image.

The main panel of each card is adhered to a piece of Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper from the new Occasions catalog.

Check back tomorrow for additional details, including supply lists for creating both cards.

Melanie, these are two great ways to use this stamp. I've been on the fence about it but I think you've changed my mind.

Thanks for pointing out the opacity gradient on Heartfelt Blooms. This makes a great feature yielding instant depth.

Both cards are gorgeous, especially the one with the Berry Burst ribbon. I am looking forward to playing with that set and duplicating your cards.
