Snowflake Showcase - Sneak Peeks

Hi there stampers!

Tuesday night I teased a project I was working on on my Facebook page, Stamp With Melanie.  Today I am sharing that project and another one with you here.  In November, Stampin' Up! is releasing a limited edition suite of products that includes 2 stamp sets, a beautiful set of thinlits, snowflake trinkets, and white velvet paper.  Yep, you read that right, white velvet paper!!!

And as a Stampin' Up! demo, we get to order these products before everyone else.  My pre-order arrived on Tuesday, so I sat down and made these two cards to share with you.  Each card features one of the stamp sets.  Both use the Snowfall Thinlits, and both use that scrumptious White Velvet Paper!

For the first card I used the Snow is Glistening stamp set.  I created a watercolor wash in Balmy Blue on a piece of Shimmery White card stock.  Then, I stamped the falling snow, also in Balmy Blue, and my greeting in Blueberry Bushel.   I stamped the snowflake tree in Versa Mark and embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder on a piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock.  I used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut out the tree.  Then, I topped off my card with a snowflake swirl from the Snowfall Thinlits using the White Velvet Paper.  Of course, the velvet doesn't show up in photos, but believe me, it has that wonderful soft velvet feel when you touch it!

For my second card, I used images from the Happiness Surrounds stamp set.  I created my background by stamping images using Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody.  I used the Snowfall Thinlits to cut out the images in Copper Foil, White Velvet Paper, and Early Espresso card stock.  The greeting, also from Happiness Surrounds, is stamped in Early Espresso and cut out using the Stitched Labels Framelits.

I will have more samples from this wonderful group of products as the month goes on.  But I know you're not going to want to miss out on this, so mark your calendar to place your order on November 1!
