I'm working on items for my two final craft shows of the year coming up at the beginning of December. Over the weekend, I made this gift box that holds four decorated tea light candles.
Aren't these boxes adorable? The finished box measures 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". I made them from a tutorial created by Jan Farring. You can find that tutorial here. I adapted the measurements and added an extra divider for my box. Following Jan's basic instructions, my modified measurements are:
Cardstock for box base: 5-1/4" x 5-1/4"
Cardstock for box dividers: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4", scored @ 1-1/2, 2-1/4, and 3 inches
4-1/2" x 1-5/8", scored @ 1-1/2, 2-1/4, and 3 inches (2 of these)
DSP box lid: 4-13/16" x 4-13/16"
I used the Tags and Tidings bundle to create the tag for my box.
To decorate the tea light candles, I wrapped Tear & Tape around each tea light, then added a strip of Designer Series Paper cut 1/8" less that the height of the candle. I used a drop of Tombow to hold down the end of the DSP.
