It's Birthday Week! Day 4

It's a Melon Mambo kind of day!  I've wanted to incorporate the new Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay and Molds into a card I posted here on my blog.  Today is that day!  Take a look, what do you think?
 

 
The clay is so easy to work with and adds a unique touch to your project!  Once the clay is molded, it is easy to color with your favorite Stampin' Write Marker.  Another option is to add a couple drops of color from your re-inker and mix it into the clay before molding.  Be sure to wear rubber gloves when choosing the re-inker option to prevent staining your hands!

A Worldly Hybrid!

Today's card is an example of my very favorite thing about MDS....it "stamps" those big stamps for me and I don't end up with a blotchy half inked image when I'm done!  Not only that, but I can re-size the image to the size needed for my project.  I'm a novice MDS user, and I know there are a lot of cool features I have yet to discover, but I don't know if anything will beat the clean clear image of the big stamps!

D-d-doubles!

Today I sat down to try my first PPA color challenge and I ended up with 2 variations of the same card.  That's easy to do when you use MDS to help create your card, as I did.  So, today, I have 2 hybrid cards for you!

The card on the top is for the PPA Color Challenge .... the challenge is to use Midnight Muse, Crushed Curry, and Early Espresso together.

After I made the top card, I tried another color variation on the bottom card - Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, and Soft Suede.

I really like the way both turned out, and with MDS, it's so easy to try as many color variations as you would like!
